Publish, syndicate or sponsor
The atlas stays open and its data stays free. Commentators can publish articles and videos here with their own byline, publications can syndicate the maps and tables with attribution, and companies can place sponsored content in marked slots.
The rules for every placement
- Every sponsored item carries the label "Sponsored · company" at the top, and the link is marked as sponsored for search engines.
- A placement never sits inside a Data block or a Thesis block, and a sponsored item never appears in the news ticker without the label. The build checks both.
- The partner has no say in the data, the sources or the text of the page it appears on. Data corrections go through the same review as every other correction.
- Partner articles and videos are published under the partner's name, marked as the partner's view, and kept apart from the atlas's Data blocks.
